okay upgrade diffrences and lense flapping quest?

I have what so many call an entry level crt a 1270. I've been thinking of upgrading but to what? After talking to some calibrator, I wonder if it's even worth it? As it was explained to me a pj with higher resolution is important, but let's say that you are running a resolution lower than the pjs maximum and have reached a level of clarity, then is it necessarily useful to go to a pj of much higher resolution? electromagnetic focus a sweet spot in fine adjustment, but dosen't the lens flapping which as stated will give a much sharper image be the same? the only noticeable difference that I could see is bigger tubes and brightness, ami wright or just totally screwed and confused. I've been looking at the Barcos, or the Marquee's tho to me they are ugly sorry no pun intended. I was considering a NEC 9000 extra but its no different than mine except the higher resolution. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

Are you happy with what you have and don't see anything you'd like to improve? If so, then stop researching and just enjoy what you have!

Kal
Entry Level ???? I just finished setting up my 1270Q and the Pix is unbelievable, Sony is far from entry level. Focus and convergence edge to edge is perfect. I am only shooting a 68" wide screen if I was going bigger I would go for more light output. I am waiting for the HI POWER then I will report to the board how the 1270Q floor mount performs.
