I know this is another..."Worth fixing" thread buuuttt!!
I have a Sony 333es (circa 1998)receiver that I was letting my mom use. It pops up with a fan protect mode error. I found and replaced the fuse and fired it up again. It worked for a day and went back into fan protect mode. I cant seem to find the fuse and additional reserach shows that it may be problem on the power board. Decent little receiver and was serving its purpose well with mom.
At a minimum its going to cost $80 to just put this thing on a bench.......Should I fixit, or find a good deal on something newer in the less than $150 range?
I would just be a back up, bedroom receiver probably never pushed anywhere near ref level......
