I'm familiar with the sound of the SR7000, 7200, and 7300, and I'm wondering if anyone with experience with the older models has the newer series.
The 7000 and 7200 sounded mellow, not harsh no matter what speakers were used. I really liked this characteristic (what many people describe as "warm").
Moving to the 7300, there was greater detail up high, but bass was somewhat less (if no subwoofer was present). I'd characterize the sound as "neutral," though still not at all harsh, but I'd be inclined to say exceptionally bright speakers would not be ideal with the 7300.
I am not familiar with the 7400 or 7500, though from reading I get the impression that the sound hadn't changed much from the 7300.
Any thoughts on how the newest models compare?
