Here's a question from an old-timer: I hadn't used MyReplayTV for quite sometime and I was reading the Poopli FAQ and decided to see if my acount was still active. I was surprised to see that not only could I log in but it was still communicating and up-to-date with my unit.


I actually had a reason last week where MyReplayTV would have actually come in handy, so maybe I'll actually start using it again.


Question though: I remember that it used to only update once every 24 hours so you couldn't record something unless you were a day or so "on the ball." Has that changed at all? I think I remember hearing at one point or another that they were going to change either the firmware or the MyReplaytv.com service to do more frequent updates. Did anything come of that?


I have a 4508 if anyone cares...

Nope, no changes. It only updates whenever your Replay connects to the Replay servers for their nightly guide update. Usually ~ 25 hrs.

MyReplayTV updates when your ReplayTV does its net connect. This still only happens automatically once a day. This would have to be changed in the firmware -- how could the web site update more than the unit connects?
