I have two 37" Olevia LCD TV's and both have problems. My older one is a LT37HVS (speakers on the side), it randomly freezes up with a loud buzzing sound. It only does this set on DTV over the air. No problems with anything plugged into HDMI.

The newer 37" TV, I don't know the model (speakers on the bottom), this set only allows you to change channels by entering the channel number. My brother hooked a DVD player up to it one night and somehow screwed it up trying to change the input. When I go into the setup menu it will not let me reprogram the channels?? The menu just plain won't let choose what I'm clicking on. Weird!!

Any ideas??

Your tv is stuck in factory/showroom mode. You change that in the menu first, and then you'll be able to change other settings.

The following steps will help you switch to Home mode.

1) Press Menu button from the remote,

2) Press Down arrow key until you see the word Picture, then press the Right arrow key,

3) Press Down arrow key until you see Mode, then press the Right arrow key,

4) Press Down arrow key until you see Power Up, then press the Right arrow key,

5) Press Down arrow key until you see Home, then press the Enter key,

6) Press Menu button four times to exit out from the OSD Menu.

Thanks for the help.

I did what you said but nothing changed. The TV would not even let me tune the channels but I did find the problem. I went in to the skip channels screen and found that ALL the channels somehow got checked. I unchecked all of them then the TV let me tune the channels...not sure how that could happen but it's working now...Thanks!
