Is it neccessary to upgrade the firmware in the 537h,or can i get away without doing it.The date problem doesnt worry me as long as there no picture quality problems or usability problems that need to be fixed.My desktop computer is nowhere near the tv anyway.

Theres 2 threads dealing with the new models of Olevia and 1 dedicated to the 537,237, and the 437. The search feature does work wonders if you use it

I have not updated my firmware. If you're having issues, check to see if a firmware download addresses it. If it dosen't, leave it alone.
