One last question on mounting my driver

486 Views 7 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Thalguy
I am getting ready to mount the NSW 4018 into a full Marty. The NSW has plastic molding that covers about 95 percent of the holes in the metal ring frame. I am guessing this is by design and I need to drill through the center of the plastic to create an extra strong mount.

Can someone clarify this for me? I can provide pics if necessary.

If you paid more than $580, get a price match:
You can post the question on P-E:
My wild guess is that the plastic is for shipping and should be removed. But a picture of what you have would help.

I don't recall any other owners of the NSW driver having any difficulty mounting it. As mentioned already, post a picture.

I got a great price through Kevin at GSG. I appreciate the suggestion though.

The top picture is facing down. The second picture is from the back side of the driver. I already put my gasket tape up so that is covering a bit of the hole.

I would say put the screws through the screw holes, but I'm not offering warranty. :p

That looks like the sealing gasket, it’s ok to drill through.
