I know this has been beaten to death, picked back up, smashed down, and kicked a few times for good measure. But I have really not been able to find an authoritative answer on what causes the 606 humming/buzzing of the bass.


I am looking to purchases my first audio system and the 606 really fits in cost/features but I do not want to have to deal with an obnoxiously loud humming/buzzing. Has anyone definitively defined the cause of this issue? Is there a solution? Does it have an effect on all users?

I have a question regarding onkyo's upconversion, I have a sony dvd changer which can output 480p, 720p and 1080i, now!! which video output is best suited for onkyo's built-in video processor? Currently I'm feeding it 1080i


I know if I had the option of 480i would have been the best but unfortunately I don't.
