Four years ago I purchased a Yamaha Piano Craft mini-system at Good Guys for $600. The model number is MCR-E810SL. Four months ago there was a flooded in my home that damaged my Yamaha. I have been shopping for other minisystems and haven't found any thing that I have cared for. Yamaha does not allow this model to be sold online or through the mail. One option would be to buy a Denon receiver and a $400 pair of bookshelf speakers. Many of the bookshelf speakers out there require a subwoofer.


How is the Onkyo CSV720 mini-system? Circuit City sells this for $400. The Onkyo has speakers that don't need a subwoofer. Since Good Guys went our of bussiness there isn't anywhere in my area that sells Yamaha or Denon mini-systems. What a shame.

I think you will be so much happier with how these sound compared to the mini systems you've been looking at. You can purchase these used in great flawless condition for about $800 a pair. You can then purchase a inexpensive receiver and dvd/cd player.

Where can you purchase Denon Mini-Systems? Good Guys did carry Denon mini-systems but they are out of bussiness. Tweeter isn't in my area.

I would think any Denon authorized dealer would be able to sell you the Denon Micro systems.
