Yesterday my hdmi board repaired (typical no sound no video problem) has arrived and all works fine except passthrough audio.

Audio always pcm with hdmi cable. Where could be the problem?

I have tried with htpc, ps3, laptop and two type of hdmi cables.

Onkyo 5007 never bitstream dts or ac3 audio. Alway in pcm multichanel...

I have tried with spdif and works ok, decoding the avr dts or ac3 signal, but in hdmi always pcm...

Thanks.

You have to make sure that your player devices are configured to bitstream their HDMI audio outputs.

The audio format (the choice between pcm and bitstreamed dts or dd) is configured in the player, not in the receiver. In BD players, you have to set both "bitstream on" and "secondary audio mix off".

Don't forget that the original "fat" PS3s can not bitstream at all. They always decode the audio and send PCM.
