Onkyo DS989 Owners Only - Remote Question

Hope this helps...

1. Place the remote controller and the remote for the other device from 2" to 6" apart.

2. While pressing and holding down the desired MODE button on the remote controller, press the ENT button and then release both buttons. (SEND/LEARN indicator lights will go off)

3. Press and release the button on the remote controller to which you want to transfer the next command. (RCV appears in the display and the SEND/LEARN indicator turns off.)

I misplaced the manual for the DS989, and I need to teach the remote how to control some of my other equipment.


Can someone post the steps required to put the remote into learning mode? I know that it has something to do with the MODE buttons, and the Macro buttons, and holding something down for a couple of seconds, but I can't get it to work!
