I have an Onkyo ED-901 Dolby Digital decoder and it's worked great with my Onkyo 828 receiver playing AC-3 encoded laserdiscs for the past year and a half. I picked up a Toshiba 2109 DVD player a few months ago and have noticed that when playing some DVDs, the sound will "flutter" and the lights on the ED-901 will flicker. If I turn the unit off then back on, the sound will play fine. Other DVD's don't exhibit this problem. Anyone know what's going on here?

Had the same problem with mine. There is a firmware upgrade out for it. You will need to contact Onyko for the upgrade info. Good Luck..
