Onkyo HT-SR800 "help" (opinions wanted)

Hi, I don't post often, though I do read a good amount and I wanted some opinion on what I should do.

I just bought the Onkyo HT-SR800 (new) for around $300 after shipping (it is supposed to arrive today), and yesterday I saw the Onkyo TX-SR606 was on sale on Amazon for $387.xx (w/FS).

My question is should I try and sell the receiver that comes with my HT-SR800, and then get the TX-SR606?

I have a blu-ray player and hd-dvd player but they are run by my PS3 and 360 respectively (I have around 30 blu-rays and 60ish hd-dvds). My 360 doesn't have HDMI (I use VGA), so I know I will have to use optical cable no matter what. My PS3 will need an optical cable if I keep the HtiB reciever, but I could use the HDMI with the TX-SR606. I have a Wii, but the sound is through the component cables I believe, and as far as I know that is the best it can do.

In addition to that, the TX-SR606 that is on sale is black, while the HT-SR800 is silver, so they would "clash." Really I don't think I would mind though, since most of my set up is black and silver (my Samsung DLP for example is mostly black with a silver base).

Anyways, considering what I told you, should I get the 606 and sell the other receiver (not even sure what model it is)? Or should I wait until the silver 606 comes down in price, or just keep what I have for now since really the only thing benefiting would be my PS3?

Since you've got the PS3 and already have assembled a blu ray collection I would say YES. You'll be able to take advantage of HD audio with the 606 plus it has other nice features also. The 800s included receiver is the same as the 505 and it's a nice receiver but being able to take advantage of HD audio especially when you have everything else is well worth the upgrade to me. You can always sell current receiver to recoup some of the cost. And btw, great prices you've found on both the 800 system and the 606.

I'm leery about being able to sell the 505 receiver. I am going to likely be moving in the next 4 months, I might just wait until I move or if the 606 goes down in price again. I just don't want to be stuck with two receivers.
I have another question in regards to the 505 and 606?

Would anyone suggest getting banana clips for the speaker wire, so as to connect more securely to the receiver, or are they unnecessary?
The receiver in the SR800 is actually a 550, not the 505. The 550 has an increase in wattage over the 505 (110W channel vs 75W channel). This might make a difference in speaker upgrades. As far as processing is concerned, yes the 550 and 505 are very similar.

I've got my speaker wire (14 gauge) currently hooked up without banana plugs to the receiver of the SR800 (550), and they seem plenty secure. However, I am moving the receiver to a more visible location in the room, and the banana plugs will make for a cleaner looking install. They also make it easier to remove the speaker wires and reinsert them in a timely manner, though, I can't imagine a scenario where this would be overly relevant.
Just my opinion, but for watching movies on blu-ray, I would definitely want the lossless audio to go with it, and that means the 606 receiver.
