Hello,

I have an HTIB Onkyo SR-800 ( http://www.onkyousa.com/model.cfm?m=...ss=Systems&p=s ), which comes with the Onkyo HTR-550 receiver.

My question is: while doing the Audissey autocalibration, what settings should I use? (I have read some tutorials here on Avsforum, but I need personalized settings for my particular Onkyo SR-800 HTIB subwoofer/receiver)

I don't have a sound level meter.

1) Subwoofer volume knob set to 1/2, 1/3 or another knob position?

2) Subwoofer level calibration set to: ?

3) Crossover set to: ?

4) Receiver volume (max volume in my Onkyo receiver is 80) : ?

5) Another important settings to configure?

thanks a lot,

James.

You do not need one.

1. Try 1/2 and see what Audyssey detects as the correct level. You do not want a setting at the extreme (+/-12dB or so).

2. In the Onkyo? Doesn't matter.

3. In the Onkyo? Doesn't matter.

4. In the Onkyo? Doesn't matter.

5. Just the correct number of speakers but I suspect that is not an option with an HTIB.
