OK I have a Samsung LED 7100 TV I bought about 1.5 years ago. i also have the Onkyo 876. I do not notice it with other devices (bluray, etc) but when I FIRST turn on the directv box/TV there is a HUGE lag in the video showing. The TV shows NO SIGNAL and the reciever has the audio, but it will drop in and out constantly until the video displays on the TV and then the issue stops. I can turn to different devices and then back and no issue.
Seems to be an issue with the DIRECTV box... BUT... if I leave my reciever on and turn off the tv and directv box and then turn it back on later....there is no lag... if I leave the TV and the Directv box on and turn the reciver OFF.... and then later turn it on... SAME ISSUE....
so not exactly sure....this has been an ongoing issue and one time I had immediate display set to ON and I swear it was fixed..... not too long ago I reset my reciever and redid my audessy setup and haven't been able to get it fixed since....
I have read about HDMI handshake, etc, but the video never drops.. its just trying to get that initial signal that takes a while...
anyone else with this issue...any remedies??
