Hello All,


Been on here quote a bit lately with my new Mits DLP WD-62725 and now have a question about my audio setup.


When I run optical from my DirecTV Reciever into my Onkyo 797 receiver I get a Red Box around the 'Digital Dolby' display on the receiver. When I run optical from my Panny RP-91 DVD player I don't get that same Red Box around the PCM Digital: Pro Logic display .


Am I pulling in Dolby for each source even though the displays are different for each?

Hi, I've just went to look on my 787 whch is similar.I've reread your question several times and I think I understand what you are asking.When the DVD is playing in dolby digital that little tiny box should say dolby digital.My guess is you may need to go into the Panasonic players menu and tell it to output Dolbly Digital bitstrem intead of PCM.I hope this is of assistance.Feel free to explain or ask more. If that doesn't work on the Onkyo in the input setup you may have it to PCM instead of "all" . Let me know if I can help more.

Changed PCM to Bitstream and there shows my little red box!!!
