If you use chrome browser, just hit the translation tab at the top. With Onkyo getting its financial house in order, the new lineup is most likely delayed - hopefully not too long of a delay. I am all in on this unit when it's finally available.Omg !!! Seriously idk I can’t read the article it’s different language if it is I’m gonna be so mad
I use my iPhone safari web browser can’t find anything on how to switch the language oh well I thought onkyo already tried to be bought and failed what is up with them are they that much in trouble they have to be bought out also why even announce new avrs if they were financially unstable all it did was make people like me excited for it and now who knows when it will comeIf you use chrome browser, just hit the translation tab at the top. The world of A/V has been in a state of change for years now with alot of players being bought, sold, and some really big players simply exiting the a/v receiver market altogether (Sony, HK, and others). User demographic and profitability has played a big role. Don't be surprised if over time you see others struggle and/or exit. Despite what some fanboys of a popular receiver make on this forum would have you believe, this is not a good development if you understand the importance of competition. When competition starts to evaporate, so does quality, development, and support from those who are left, and prices WILL rise with nothing to show for it. It only hurts the A/V industry to lose the likes of HK, Sony, and Pioneer (to aquisition); and it would further weaken it to lose Onkyo and others.I use my iPhone safari web browser can’t find anything on how to switch the language oh well I thought onkyo already tried to be bought and failed what is up with them are they that much in trouble they have to be bought out also why even announce new avrs if they were financially unstable all it did was make people like me excited for it and now who knows when it will come
I don't have an iPhone, just an Android. I use Chrome as my default wreb browser. The Translate feature is available in Android, and I presume that it's present in the iOS version. (The translation isn't done on the device.) The MS Edge browswer, from the same code base as Chrome, aslo works on the PC.I use my iPhone safari web browser can’t find anything on how to switch the language oh well I thought onkyo already tried to be bought and failed what is up with them are they that much in trouble they have to be bought out also why even announce new avrs if they were financially unstable all it did was make people like me excited for it and now who knows when it will come
Yes, agreed. Too much focus on "disruptive technology" hurts stable players that have been it for the long haul. That's only one simplistic component of the thinning of the herd but a lack of options works for no one.The world of A/V has been in a state of change for years now with alot of players being bought, sold, and some really big players simply exiting the a/v receiver market altogether (Sony, HK, and others). I thought is was 11 Trading that acquired Onkyo and Pioneer:The good point is that Voxx is already the Onkyo distributor in the USA.
For sure they need new Onkyo products to restart the business.
Let us be optimistic: the RZ50 will come to us.
I hope to buy one for black Friday 2021 or 2022 if it is available later.
Roger. looks like VOXX is the lead partnered with Sharp, who apparently manufactures for Onkyo, with designers from Klipsch forming part of the spearhead. 11 Trading is the new distribution company VOXX set up for Onkyo and Pioneer. Actually, it sounds promising:@gournalist I believe Voxx Intl purchased them and 11 trading is the exclusive distributor?
I purchased Pioneer's flagship SC~37 10+ years ago basically because I have so much gear that I need the sophistication of at least a patch bay like that and then some. Run optical, coaxial, RCA, and HDMI. Thing has run like a flawless tank. Just went into protection mode last week so it has to go out for a diagnosis. Tech says probably one channel down. Got into the service menu and pulled up total hours run: 45,477 (and 04 minutes)! That's 12.46 hours per day for 10 years. I hope it's repairable. BTW ~ my back up is an Onkyo.....@gournalist I own all Integra gear and swore off anything with hdmi since it seems to be the root cause of the demise of the AVR industry. My Integra runs a few hours per day, every day since 2002, all with rca and optical.
Anyway I need to join the 21st century so I know the news of Pionkyo coming back has me and many others looking to jump back on the bandwagon. Add DIrac and oh boy, I might be the guinea pig who dives in on the Pioneer lx505 on day 1?
