My set up is an HDMI HTPC with BluRay & CableCard, an Onkyo TX-SR602, and Samsung 7 Series LCD.
Most of the pieces have not come in yet so I can't test just yet. I thought I'd ask in case I need to order some more parts.
The question is this: typically with just plain TV watching I don't want to have the Onkyo powered on and pumping sounds through the surround sound. I'd like it to simply pass the audio and video to the Samsung.
Can the Onkyo pass through the video AND audio? Or do I need to get a HDMI switch so I can select between the Onkyo and direct to TV?
