Onkyo TX-SR803 has no OSD with HDMI?

After carefull shopping I ordered a Onkyo TX-SR803 and and some Polk speakers. I wanted a receiver that could have my HD TiVo and DVD in through HDMI and out to my Plasma via single HDMI cable. Well as i am setting it up, I find that on screen display doesn't work through HDMI! I have to plug in an extra cable and switch inputs to see the OSD. A major shortcomming, I feel. If it were a one time setup, I could deal with it. But if I am watching a movie and want to adjust a setting, balance or mode, I shouldn't have to change inputs to do it.


I am being too critical? Do they all do this? My other choice was a Denon 3806, will this do as I want?
