I just came across this article from The Japan Times:

JVC exits flat TVs in North America

The article does note:

Quote:
The company will continue to sell TVs built by other firms under its brand in the region, the officials said.

BTW: The JVC Web site is currently showing several LCDs.

However, with this announcement, I would suspect that we will never see the 3D LCD that JVC had announced using circular polarization.

So Dave - you going to fix the title of this thread?

Q: In your web site you mention two more 3D products: a projector and a 46" LCD TV. Any updates on those?

Our technology also lends itself very well as a laser front projector with variable brightness pending on how much laser power is needed. Our 46" LCD X-POL product that we call HDI LITE is for small screen markets with passive glasses and can compete with active glasses in price.

Nope! Can't change the title - BUT, HDI is not an established manufacturer, so the odds of this ever making it to the market are not good (in other words, I wouldn't change it if I could).

It's the same Hyundai 46" 3D LCD (they actually make it) that JVC sells.

JVC said they won't get rid of products that are made for them - like the Hyundai built 46" 3D LCD with Xpol.

Your "chicken little" thread title is wrong. It isn't factual.
