Do I need a device to split out the DSL from the phone lines such as the OnQ unit?

If I have three incoming phone lines (main/DSL, fax, business), what type module do I need to have line one only as main house number at each outlet, and fax and business at one outlet each in one location?

You do need top filter the DSL from the main phone lines, but there are multiple ways to do this.

Place in-line filters at each phone location. (not the best way)

Filter the line at the phone company d'marc box.

Filter the line in the panel.

Either of the last two will work well. It really depends on the amount of wiring you have from the panel to the d'marc. If you have a spare Cat-5, you can filter the DSL at the d'marc onto the spare cat-5 and locate your dsl modem in your panel.

You do not have to use a specific manufacturers module to filter the dsl. The phone comany can provide you with a filter block. Also, there are other scenarios you can use to filter and distribute the dsl. Let me know the wiring you have going to the d'marc and I'll give you some different options.
