I know not the ideal room configuration or the best equipment.

Fronts Infinity SM 155

Center Infinity Alpha 37c

Surrounds Alpha 25es

Sub Infinity Alpha 1200s

Denon AVR 790

I would like to upgrade my sub to something with more power as well as more low end range.

Would really like to hear your opinion on what would work with what I have, as well as placement location.

What's your thoughts on the SVS PB12-nsd, or PB-2000, or maybe a dual setup?

Definitely have a budget. The 2 PB-2000 would be the limit for my budget. I can get 2 PB1PB12-nsd for about $300 cheaper for the pair.

Thanks for your help.

Dual PB-2000s = $1,499, shipped. Other options up to and maybe just slightly over that amount include:

- HSU VTF-3 MK4 DualDrive ($1,319 + $198 shipping)

- dual PSA XV15 ($1,518.10,shipped)

- dual Outlaw LFM-1 EX ($649/ea. + shipping; but can be had for $600-$650/ea., shipped, when on sale)

Thanks for the information on the others you suggested.

So I assume the pb12-nsd isn't a good choice compared to the others?

Also what is the advantages of a down firing sub?

The pb12nsd is a great choice for the price, outlet price of 550$ but will it be enough is the question you'd have to try and find out and I would if your in the usa as to free shipping and 45 day trial

The PB12-NSD would be an excellent choice if your room were smaller.

Aside from protecting the driver, down-firing has no advantages.

(The down-firing orientation is supposed to filter out harmonics in a way that a front-firing orientation won't, but whether or not that constitutes an advantage to the listener is, IMO, subjective.)

Thanks, I didn't realize that the pb12-nsd & PB-2000 were that different in performance.

What about the PSA XV15 compared to the PB-2000 anyone heard both in person?
