Does anyone have an opinion on the Panasonic TH 46P28OU 46IN Plasma right now I have an Hitachi 51 in rear projection and i'am thinking of changing tvs going from 1080i to 1080p will there be much difference in the picture between the 51in CRT and the Plasma after taking measurements they are almost the same size

Picture quality is very dependent upon the source material. Given a good picture source (Blu-Ray), then the Panasonic would have the better picture.

Thanks it's hard trying to make up my mind. Just went and looked at it again decided to get it. $1399 .00at Circuit City $999.00 at Best Buy only thing no money till my tax refund probably be off sale then hopefully not THANKS. Unless you've kept the CRT in tip top shape -- focused, converged, etc, -- the plasma will easily look better.

Also consider the 50PX80U as well. However, the Panasonic models are very good displays.
