I am looking for a quick opinion on the LG 42LD630. Couldn't find any reviews online or in the avs forum. How does it compare to the Philips 40pfl5505?

I am hoping for a quick reply from everyone as the sale for the LG ends today. It is on for 750. the Philips is 700 right now, and i'm torn as to which one is should buy. both are 240hz backlit. LG CR is 80000:1 and the philips is 90000:1. LG response time is 2ms and the philips is 1ms. I'm torn because there is no info on the LG and good reviews on the philips via AVS.

lol, yeah, 9 hours and counting. at first glance the LG was the easy pic being the more well known LCD display company. but the 10 page thread on the 5505 got me thinking.


does anyone have any HDMI issues with the philips 5505? i had a 5704 but had to return it because it didn't like my HP notebook w/ invidia geforce gt230m. the notebook works great with the same hdmi cable and my toshiba lcd.
