If you are looking to save some money, check out monoprice.com (sponsor at the top of the page) for all of your cables.

Very good product at a better price.
I agree on dropping the monster brand cables, espically for the subwoofer interconnect.

Any good audio RCA cable will work just fine for that purpose. There is no difference despite what monster tries and tells you.

Drop the Monster brand power unit also, and purchase a good computer UPS or a good computer power conditioner. It will cost much less money, and work just as well.

As to the subwoofer, I would see if there is a higher powered one if you want great powerful bass. Even if it is 50 watts RMS it is quite low for a subwoofer.

I'd take a look at the APC power units instead of the Monster. Higher quality product for less $. Agree on Monoprice- great stuff and prices. Bluejean Cable is another choice, but not as cheap.

Sub- what is your budget and what size are you looking for? My personal favorite (though I am biased) for an 'affordable' sub is the Martin Logan Dynamo. About 12" square, very tight, and it goes low. Can be either front or down firing.
I want to stay south of 8,000.00 Thanks for the poing about cables. Point well taken.

I'll look into subs as well
I will second the APC surge protecotrs/line conditioners choice vs. Monster.
