Steve: I'm not a believer in the "all in one" philosophy. They are usually less reliable, and when one part breaks; you have nothing to use. Normally , for what they cost, you can buy two separate units, and you are better off. If you have to get it fixed, it will cost you more to do so. Most people who buy these things are just afraid that they will not know how to hook them up. Nevertheless, if you feel you must buy one of these, I have heard that you are better off with the Samsung DVD-V1000. Its a better unit at a lower price. Better then the GOVIDEO DVR-4000. If you can't find it, let me know; I can order one for you, or tell you where you can get it from. These things can come back to haunt you later on.
