They definitely have AAA customer service. If they ever decide to expand into other areas of electronics they would be tough to beat with there service, price and quality.

Not only does the Oppo DVD 983 look fantastic, but the folks at Oppo really know how to treat there customers! I've had my 983 for some time now, when I bought a Onkyo 905 a few weeks back, I started to notice some very short sound drop outs(about three~five per movie). I called Oppo and was told to send it in for free repair. They told me they could fix the problem even thoe it was more of a 705 issue. When I got there(a short drive), the friendly folks offer to fix it while I wait. I than asked if the BDP83 had this issue? they said it did not. I asked if the 83 has as good of PQ for DVD playback? They said both units were equal. I asked if I could pay the difference and get the 83? they said no problem! So now I'm a $100. lighter but now own a BDP83.
