I'm seriously considering getting the Skyworth 1050P and a projector to go with it. Now, CRTs type displays and D-ILA are out of the question for me. They're too unpractical - not to mention too expensive. Thus I'm left with DLP and LCD projectors.
Now..as I understand it the Skyworth can only output 480p. Does this mean that in order to get good results with it I would have to get an external scaler in addition? What LCD/DLP projector would you recommend to use with this player? Is it possible to use 480p native mode on a non-VGA projector without any upscaling done by the projector?
I know a HTPC would be an alternative to this player, but since 90% of my DVDs are 30fps NTSC interlaced (anime) DCDi is something the HTPC cannot provide as of yet.
