Hey guys,

Between these two projectors, which would you choose? The Sharp has a faster color wheel (3x vs 2x for the Optoma), higher contrast (1000:1 vs 600:1 for the Optoma), but is not quite as bright (1500(PG-M20XA)/1900(PG-M20X) lumens vs Optoma's 2000 lumens) and probably doesn't have as good a scaler (Optoma uses Silicon Image DVDO). Unit will be used mainly as a portable presentation unit by my father, and a DVD and video game machine by myself. I'm still trying to get a demo with a local distributor through with whom my Dad does business with. Thanks for any advice!

get the Optoma 755, in spite of the specs of the sharp, the 755 will be the better unit; I have seen both, and my decision will be very clear.

The Sharp will also have a scaler. It will be the CIVIC Ii; But he is optimozed for presentation and not given free for 720p or 1080i 8Sharp Europe told me this)

The 755 will be grat unit for presentation and for video . The scaler off the 755 will do also filmmode rcognition.
