Hi Guys

I posted some months back about some probs I was having with a UK ThemeScene H30 PJ.

At that time I purchased a Philips DVD Progressive Scan player specifically to improve the quality on the already great H30. Unfortunately the image when using PS was awful - Very pink tint with ghosting and loss of focus.

I reported the problem to Optoma UK who said they were aware of the problem and had a fix - The PJ was sent back and received back 1-week later. On checking I found that they'd upgraded the firmware but that I had exactly the same problem when using PS.

After sending about 4 emails to Optoma explaing I had the same problem (and no replies :( ) I resigned myself to the fact that maybe it was the Philips player that was at fault.

Today I sold my Philips player cheap and bought a neat Mico DVD808D Divx/PS player (Also cheap ;) ). I just connected it up and selected PS and I've got the same damn problem as I had with the Philips player.

Ive ruled out cable issues (Tried new ones) and even tried using shorter cables (1m long) but cant use the H30 with Progressive Scan.

Has anyone else had similar issues or does it look like my H30 still has a fault - everything else works without fault though.

Any help greatly appreciated.

PS - I've tried adjusting the advanced menu options available when using PS (Frequency etc) but this doesn't solve the problem.

Cable connction is via RGB.

I'll check for that setting under the usr menu - But I'm almost certain I checked this when I had the problem with my Philips player.

Cheers

Checked menus but couldn't find an option to selecy YUV or RGB.

However, I defaulted the colour menu option and this got rid of the pink but the screen is still blurry.....actually it's more like very bad ringing !?

It's not the cable - Any other suggestions?

If it's not the cable or connection, I'd send it back again. I had one H30 that displayed a somewhat similar problem when I tested it before selling it. With mine, red was pretty much missing from the picture and it always had a blue tint. I tried various connections and sources, but to no avail. It couldn't be adjusted out either.
