Hopefully I'm not rehashing a known issue, but I already tried my best to find any mention of this problem first.


I just got a new Optoma HD20 this week and I have a weird problem that has occurred. When I first turned on the projector and accessed the lamp settings, there was an entry for Bright Mode: On/Off. I turned it on. After turning it on, the option disappeared from the lamp settings menu. I came back later hoping to turn it off, but the option was completely gone. I have reset the projector, unplugged it, etc. and the bright mode option still does not appear in the menu. Has anyone else run into this?

Tonight I went back into the settings and the bright setting is now available, so I guess the problem solved itself.

Ok, the same thing is happening to me. I don't see "Bright Mode" in the menus at all. Anyone have a solution? Also will turning Bright Mode off reduce the fan speed a little? It seems to be pretty loud.

Sorry for resurrecting an ancient thread, but I had this issue too, but found the solution. So for anyone in the future that has this issue, turns out that turning on "Image AI" will clear the Bright Mode option. Turning Image AI back off will bring it back.
