Hi

I have an Optoma HD3000 connected to my Samsung 52 LCD and also My Optoma H79. All sources that I have connected to the hd3000 are 1080p such as PS3, HD DVD, and apple tv. When I turn on the hd3000 it shows on my displays that the hd3000 is putting out a 1080p signal however on the projector and lcd tv it show that it is a 720p picture. Is there a way to change the output res on the processor? I have gone thru the manual no luck in there.

Thanks in advance.

Many of the HD3000 processors sold have been limited to 720p output by the firmware. This is especially true for all the processors which came bundle with 720p beamers like your H79. My HD3000 which I bought "stand alone" has no limitation and does output 1080p just fine. Since the hardware is the same, it should - in theory - be possible to unlock the limited HD3000 units by a firmware upgrade. The question is simply if Optoma plays along...

And one question from my side: iirc the HD3000 is limited to 1080i input.
