I received my Optoma EP739 replacement, and am still having the same problems that I was having before, certain places on DVD the whole image goes in and out of focus and then some times jumps back into focus. The worst DVD that I have found that does this is The new Harry Potter DVD. I have tried 2 different P.SCan DVD players (Samsung HT-DM550 and Sony DVP-NS575P) I have also tried a laptop. The really strange thing is if while I am watching if I pull down a DVD menu, this fixes the problem instantly, until the menu goes back up. I have also tried different cables (Shot, Long, VGA, VGA to Component). This does not happen in I.SCan mode but the PQ is not as good as in I.Scan then. I have also tried putting the projector and DVD on a UPS with power conditioning. Anyways, I think I have thought of everything I could try, and because this projector is capable of doing a great image (when the DVD menu is down) I am thinking the problem lies elsewhere in the system setup. If anyone has any advice, etc on how to fix this, please let me know. Thanks again! >;)

I am wondering if what I am seeing is Black Crush? I am reading more about it, but do not know what I am seeing. Does anyone have an example of black crush that they can post, or that is posed on the net for me to look at? Thanks

I've never noticed a problem, can you reference a few DVDs by title, chapter & time and describe the flaw? I'll try to check them out on my 739.

Rob79, you don't have the DVD player hooked up through a VCR or anything like that do you?

Thanks rob, I had over 400 hours on my last bulb so I see it as basically getting a free buld for the cost of the $15 bucks to ship it to them so not a terrible deal, but I sure hope they fix it.

Frey, I do not think they will replace your bulb. They usually would just switch out the bulbs. But maybe you will get lucky. Are they trying to fix the problem or are they just shipping you another one?
