Hello friends, I´m Javi Santana from Barcelona, Spain and this is my first post, i´m glad to write on this forum.


I would like to ask for your opinion about what screen should by, i have a JVC HD1 (700 Lumex, 15.000 contrast) in a room that will have black curtains almost in the 60% of walls.


Well, after hard research it seems i found a local dealer that sells me OS Screen A1-120 manual at nice price. Since 2 hours ago i didn´t know anything about this screems but as far as i read it seems pretty god. I would appreciate opinions of people having or testing this screen and how it perfomrs against Stewart (of course Stewart is #1) and DragonFly (I read on this forum DFlay is someway not so far from Steward.


On OS screens Wf202 (Pure Matt2) or Wg103 material?

Do you think rippleys could be a problem in this OS Screen? it´s manual and i don´t know it can contribute.

It very interesting to me to know if the manual use of the screen (manual screen) is as good as OSScreen says, they say that it work manual but as fine as mecanical.

I have never heard of them, but regardless, I would get some samples to try with your projector first. Ultimately only you can determine if you like the results.

I have been doing an extensive research about Osscreens on the web and almost all the information is on japanese webs. There are just three factor that makes me think this is quite high quality screen:


1.- As far as the Osscreen website says, the official public presentation of HD750 JVC used Osscreen. Other marks have done the same in Japan.

2.- Their facilities are only in Japan and the have a long experience on the sector.

3.- My local dealer said me this screen in higher quality than Meler Screens, he said me it´s very high quality.

4.- The price of manual (A1.-120) it´s 900 and 1800 the electric one.



Actually I´m 80% thinking on this screen and 20% on VMAX2 Elite.


Any suggestions are very very wellcome.

I agree, get a sample before purchasing. That's a lot of money to purchase without seeing it first. It better be really nice...
