I'm looking for some parts for a scoreboard controller. I can find references on line, but no-one that will sell small quantities. The parts are as follows:

MuRata Piezo buzzer part # PKB5-3BO

Hewlett Packard alphanumeric display DL 1414.

Okay Curt, I'm bored tonight...

A little poking around and the display part number seems to go by a variety of arrangement if you're doing searches:

DL1414

DL-1414

DL 1414

HPDL1414

HPDL-1414

HPDL 1414

It appears to be currently available under the HPDL-1414 part number for $19.86/each at Allied Electronics in their 2002 catalog on page 477 which I have here, and viewable here as well:

Here's a spec sheet on the part:

Last week I went to the Allied that's a couple of miles from me and bought a crimper and some contacts to try to replace some of those durn terminals that break off the high voltage leads that plug into Barco focus modules. Looks like it will work, but if you know someplace I can order some of those terminals that are closer to an exact replacement let me know.

The Murata buzzer hasn't jumped out at me just yet, but another beer or two and maybe...

Are you repairing a scoreboard or building something new?

MuRata Piezo buzzer part # PKB5-3BO

Okay, I'm not sure if this will be correct or just completely misleading...

Based on this part number description from the MuRata site:
http://search.murata.co.jp/image/w_hinm/L0475e.pdf

...it would appear the B0 might mean the packaging is bulk, and A0 means radial taping. Is that just a manufacturing distribution media like resistors on a reel? Is it leads vs. solder pins? I don't have a clue what that means, but I found the PKB5-3A0. There's a brief table description of this one here:

http://www.excess-solutions.com/SpecSheets/Murata.pdf

The PKB5-3A0 appears to be available at Allied Electronics, but isn't in their current catalog:
http://www.alliedelec.com/cart/partl...umber=711-0120

The current catalog has a PKB42SW-2800 which seems to have the same specs (42mm dia., 2.8 kHz...) as the PKB5-3A0:
http://www.alliedelec.com/cart/partl...umber=711-4271

Both $6 or less. But is it what you need? Don't blame me if it isn't!
