Nothing to do with projection but I won and paid for an Compaq LCD monitor- the add said the power adapter is included but there was no adapter in the box.. So I email them and they reply that they would be happy to give a a $20 "credit" towards a future purchase. This, after I told them the adapter from Compaq (the only where I can find one that will work) costs $42 shipped.

The nerve of some people. I told them I want the $42 or a refund ( I'll lose $35 shipping both ways).. I am going to file a complaint with ebay if they do not agree to refund my money.

If they do a lot of business on Ebay threaten to leave negative feedback. If the listing says they included an adapter and it doesn't have one then you are on fairly firm ground. If you paid via Paypal using your credit card file a complaint with Paypal and you credit card company. Your creidt card company is you best shot. Basically you want to let them know you are going to be a pain in the ass if they don't refund your money. BTW, I would go ahead and get a power supply to make sure that the monitor works as maybe they are covering up a dead monitor with a missing power supply. ....

Should raster ever come to live in Canada, we will immediately put a trade embargo on repairing used CRT projector modules.

I've been to Manitoba, Stayed in a town called Thompson, was fishing on the Churchill River. A pleasant trip, camped out etc.

Standards??? When crossing the border, your customs people didn't even come out of their little "house" lol Asked where we're going & said ok, lol

Most likely cause I look like a trusting soul!

Raster reminds me of someone I know of who lives in Canada. Same type pattern, same M.O., etc. I meant no offense towards Canada, though I can see why some Canadians would be offended. :D

I'd say that's over the top except that it's so low.

The Who:

Make sure you print out the auction page while you still can and notify eBay right away. It can be pain in the butt dealing with eBay, and you might never find out for sure what happened to the other party, but I've successfully gotten a seller kicked off, at least until they probably registered under another name. To write that something is included when it's not is a form of fraud and a $20 credit doesn't cut it.

In two cases where I complained, once eBay started inquiring, I got the problem resolved quickly by the offending party.

Best of luck.

Well I hate to say it but I'm agreeing with the roosters statement here.

Any anti-Canadian govt sentiment is OK with me.

And yes I'm Canadian.

Where else can you

pay taxes through the teeth

wait for hours for any type of health care

support every bleeding heart agenda from greenies to unlimited and basically unchecked imigration

have a horrible (for Canada) free trade agreement with the yanks

sell our pharmas to the south cheap while we deplete our own

have a camera on every street corner in case you speed

catch our politicians stealing billions (adscam) and then reward them with re-election

Spend an unheard of fortune on a useless gun control system while our neighbor legalizes asault weaponry.

buy submarines from Britain-Ok lets not go there

Legalize gay marriage so they can get proper spousal benefits-- sheeeesh

Give out free crack pipes to addicts along with pipe cleaners and instructions

SHALL I GO ON CAUSE I'M JUST GETTIN WARMED UP??????????
