I'm looking for an mpeg editor that behaves similar to rtvedit. I have some mpeg's I need to cut scenes out of.

I've done a little searching with no success. I would use rtvedit but it is only an mpeg with no index file. If you know of anything to generate .ndx's, I'd just use rtvedit.

Any help would be appreciated. If this is better in another forum, lemme know.

almost everyone here uses womble, it's not limited to cutting on GOP boundries, and doing so causes small segements to be reencoded, but it's very good tool.

You can download a demo at www.womble.com

One of the enormous benefits of womble is that it is accurate to the "frame". You can pic the exact frame you want to start and finish a clip on.

Tip: You have to be in "N" (normal) mode to move one frame at a time. "M" (Medium) will move 3 frames and "F" (Fast) will move 15 frames.
