When I first purchased my TV-Tuner card there was a web site that offered a number of 'hacks' to the hardware/software settings that made the combo work like a charm!


I had installed many of his 'hacks' and been a happy computer user...


Then in Dec.2003 I had a harddrive fail on my computer...

And reinstalled all my software!


Now I can not get a good _non-jumpy_ capture from my PC-VCR card


HELP!!!


What I need it.. 640 X 480 video and 48Khz audio to work with my other software to burn DVD's


The files that I currently capture look and play good back through the furnished software only! I can not get the MPEG's to load into any other software package with out audio sync or other errors happening.


Can anybody here suggest a good software package that will work with most TV cards and allow the file to be converted to a Replay file using RTVtools....????

I found the 'KEY' to change my current software from recording at 44.1Khz to 48Khz..

While the key says 'Power Director' it also works for:

"Cyberlink" 'PowerVCRII-ver3.x


I found the key to adjust the recording from 44.1Khz to 48Khz:

For WindowsXP-Home:

My Computer\\HKEY_USERS\\S-1-5-21-1487682723-4283021946-2165517387-1003\\Software\\Cyberlink\\PowerDirector\\2.55\\Recording


The key that now says: 41100


Change to read: 48000


Record at the 'HIGH' MPEG setting...

Now the RTVTools can convert the MPEG file for feeding back to your local Replay Settop box.
