I just put up a channel master 4228 on my roof. How do you ground this? Is there a special screw on 4228 or any metal part of 4228 or long pole will do?


Then where do you run the ground wire to? I already have DISH satellites, and I noticed NO ground wire from dish to multiswitch and no ground wire from multiswitch to anywhere. Just the coaxes from dish and coaxes from multiswitch to my house are visible. Did DISH skip grounding? (b/c Los Angeles ?)


There is a "ground screw" on the multiswitch. Can I just run a ground wire from my antenna to this screw?

I forgot to mention that I mounted the antenna on a metal vent sticking out of the roof. Does this mean the antenna is already "grounded" since the metal vent should already be grounded by home-builder?

I bought my grounding stuff from Radio Shack. All you need is a grounding block, aluminum ground wire and ground rod. It's only about $20 for all of it.

Is a roof-top antenna supposed to be grounded? My antenna is on an antenna tower that is cemented into the ground. Would it be considered grounded?
