I just had my new D* DVR installed today (thanks AVS for the inside scoop on the new price break and discounts).

Well - I had the Hughes HTL-HD before - with the new HR10-250 I cannot receive any channels OTA - it says looking for signal. Signal strength test doesn't register on most frequencies - but does show very low signal on a few frequencies. The D* techs who where here blamed it on my OTA antenna pointing and took off (they did re-crimp a few of my coax first).

After they left I plugged in my HTL-HD to the antenna and the OTA's are coming in fine - and one is currently in HD and looks great. Has anyone had experience getting the OTA tuners to work in the HR10-250? I'm tempted to call D* and get another DVR shipped to me to swap but I want to hear from the forum first.

Thanks!

If you have an amplifier on your antenna you may want to try it without or to try an antenuator. Others have had this problem when using with an amplifier.
