OTA stations problems with flipping switch for HD
Wasn't sure to post this in hardware or programming but since it involves the transmission of HD and not the reception I put it here (sorry the title is not more descriptive--that was the best I could come up with). I've read numerous complaints about stations not switching from SD to HD until after the HD broadcast has begun (my local stations do it too). Do the stations manually have to switch from SD to HD? Is there some reason the equipment can't recognize an HD signal and automatically swith over?
