Otta Silly Question...which sub?

405 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  jhan1000
I need advice on these 2 subs.I need one of these to compliment my Infinity beta50`s.

I know the SW-12 is supposed to be a match for the beta speakers just like the CSW10.But I keep reading alot of really good reviews and positive feedbacks on the PS-12.

Price does not matter between these 2 subs. Also I know in some cases newer does not mean better.

Anyway has anyone heard and had the opportunity to compare these 2 subs.

Please don`t ask to switch to another sub...there`s plenty good subs out there but I kinda lean towards Infinity

No disrespect meant, but you really do not know what you'll be missing.

I've never heard the Infinity Subs... If may ask politely, is there any reason why you won't consider other brands besides Infinity?

Ok...I guess I could be more opened minded. For one thing I do have all Infinity line up.

My budget is no more than $500..I can buy either of these 2 infinity subs for that or less.

So Shoot
You don't need to timbre match a sub like you do your mains and center. With a sub, go for 4 characteristics:

- deep

- clean

- flat

- loud

Get those 4 attributes right, position it correctly in your room, set the phase correctly, level match it appropriately with your mains ... and you'll be happy.

p.s., get an SVS PB10. I'm biased, sue me. :p

Agreed... SVSPB10 is probably a better way ago. I don't own a SVS, so I don't think I'm biased. :)
