Our new dedicated Home Theater

Ever since I walked in to one of those overpriced home theater stores and saw their "home cinema" room I was hooked. I knew one day I would have to have one. Problem was the CRT projector alone was more than my whole budget was on my new room. Well...several years later as prices got to where us mortals can actually have a projection system, I decided it was time to just do it...

My system:

Display - Panasonic PT-AE900u

Screen - 118" DIY screen from "Screen Goo"

Speaker system - Axiom Epic with EP500 SW and 4 QS8 surrounds

Receiver - Yamaha RX-V2600

Amp - Crown XLS602 for front LR

DVD - Oppo OPDV971H

DirecTV HD receiver

Here are a few pics. Also you can find more on my sig link What do you all think????

Very nice setup dude! :)

I have one question tho....in the first and second pics, there is a big box on the ceiling with what looks like some speaker cloth....is that a IB sub or a aircon return?

Cheers!

Thanks man!!! Actually my room is a garage conversion, but I still have about 7' of garage left with the door still operational so that box is for the garage door opener. The black panel is for access if I ever need to change it out.
Very Nice.....

I live in Palmdale AKA high desert....are you in the general area also?

Cool...I'm in Hesperia actually.
Great work, dude!

Love them TAMA drums too (we also have an original mid 60's Ludwig 4-piece set with a 20" bass drum, and a double-bass drum, 9-piece Tama set with Zildjian cymbals. Well, my son has the latter now; I haven't touched a pair Vic Firth, nylon-tipped 5Bs in years :( ).

Redlands isn't too far from Hesperia, you know... ;)

Thanks...no it's not too far actually. I like the Tamas a lot. It's my first kit so I'm still getting used to them and making some tuning adjustments as I go. I was on a borrowed Pearl set before which I also liked.
