Hiya,

I am looking to use Zone 2 on my 606e AVR to pump audio to my dining room and garden (they're back to back). L will feed one speaker in the dining room and R will feed one speaker in the garden. Now on to my questions...

1) What minimum spec cable should be used for outdoor runs?

2) My audio will be fed from my HTPC running Vista. I'd ideally like 'viewable' remote control from a handheld device, maybe something 7". What devices can do this?

3) Ideally looking for speakers to 'blend' into the garden. Do these exist?

Thanks

you need a cable designed for use out of doors--14 or 16 AWG low voltage garden lighting cable will work fine.

Try here for starters, http://www.outdoorspeakerdepot.com/rockspeaker.html , or do a search for weather proof speakers or rock speakers.

You could use a speaker switch in line from the Zone 2 feed, and then you'd have the full stereo signal to each area. Right now, you would only have one channel going to each. You could use one speaker, but it would have stereo capability, getting the full signal.
