I'm looking for some patio speakers. Somewhere middle of the road, not too expensive.
I've listened to the Yamaha NS-AW350's and the Klipsch KHO-7's. Where do the HTD(Home Theater Direct) Q50's fall in sound reproduction in comparison with these two?
I listen to rock, some jazz, and standards(Sinatra). My wife likes rap. The low ends are much better on the Klipsch, but I'd rather not spend close to $300 if possible.
HTD = solid products & great service. Will they be remakable? Nope, but they have few real flaws. Just a solid product line (note - I base this on experience with their indoor stuff)
I have a pair under the soffit over my deck. For 80 bucks, they are wonderful speakers. Well built and good sounding. The metal inserts for the brackets and speakers are brass and stainless, and the speakers have solid binding posts on the rear.
I have a pair of the previous version that I bought about 2.5 years ago. I feel they are a tremendous value, but the current ones are definitely better built and probably even better sounding.
