Outdoor Speakers - Receiver suggestions?

I chose a small amp for my outdoor deck speakers and connected my google chromecast audio to it. I use spotify 90% of the time. Works great. Occasionally it will take time to display the groups I have set up but it hasn't come to the point where it is annoying.

what kind of amp? any details of the setup?

wired is best, insofar as amp to speakers go. what other space and power considerations are there? do you have power? are you able to place the amp indoors and run speaker wire outside to the speakers?

Will they be out of the weather somewhat?

I've had a couple Sonos Play:1's mounted under the soffit for quite a few years now. They've worked out really well for a simple outdoor music setup, no amp/receiver required. The only challenge was getting power to them (but it wasn't that big of a deal).

I have a Pyle 2X120 Watt Home Audio Power Amplifier. I connect the chromecast audio to the aux port on the amp.
I have the deck speakers wired to the amp which resides in a closet. I have a pair of infinity outdoor speakers. I was looking at the polk speakers but a friend gave me the infinity speakers so I couldn't pass it up.

Upside - it works well for me. It is plenty loud when I want it to be. Chromecast has been great. You can control the volume from the phone.

Downsides - Volume variances with Spotify can be challenging as the amp has a volume adjustment and you have volume adjustment on the phone. I only have to make adjustments to the amp in the closet if I want it really loud. Otherwise I set it and forget it. The other problem with the Chromecast is that it takes some time to display all the chromecast groups on Spotify (if you have multiple chromecasts).
