Hooked up the single Vidar and its a very good amp.
The amps are close in performance but I'm comparing the 2220 mono with a single Vidar.

The Vidar has a more detailed sound stage,
and better bass performance. I didn't expect better bass with the single amp over the two 2220.
I should have the other Vidar next week so I can use my balanced outputs on My pre/pro.

Hooked up the second AMP and there is not much of a difference in my setup. The bass is as strong as with the single amp. It's nice to have the extra power if needed but if you have sensitave speakers one amp is enough. I wish you were able to use balanced connections with one amp but if you want to use the balanced connections you have to get two.

The Vidar has better mids and highs compaired to the outlaw. It also produced much more bass response in my setup. This could be an issue if you have a live room. I had to pull my speaker out a few more inches (total 12) from the wall and I still have more bass than I would like at times when playing music. I have a new room being built so I will keep these and tame the bass with my pre/pro until I have the ability for better speaker placement. I'm setup in the Living Room now and I think 12 inches from the wall is all I can get away with befor WAF kicks in. I like to listen to two channel direct mode but I needed to engage the DSP in my Pre/Pro to tame the bass.
