I am running an HD-DVD drive on Power DVD 7.3. How do I tell what type of output im getting? In running it on a 22' thats native res is 1680 X1050. I am a total HD noob. It looks loads better then regular DVD, but how can I be sure of what I'm getting? Thanks!

You will be getting 1680 x 1050

You are outputting what ever resolution your video card is set at.

so its a scaled version of 720 or 1080? Better then 720 and not as good as 1080? Im just curious what the exact way to look at it would be. Thanks again for the help guys and gals.

If you are outputting 1680 X1050 then it is scaling 1920x1080p to match your output resolution.

I agree HD-DVD is 1080 native, then scaled to the resolution you set.


You can't beat 1080p!
