Has anyone successfully connected a Pace 550HD to a Panasonic PT-43LC14 or PT-50LC14 using a DVI-HDMI cable? When I connected mine last week (using the HDMIDVI-2 cable from PacificCable.com with the Pace set to PASS), only SD channels will display... HD channels show only a blank screen. HD channels will only display if I change the Pace to output 480p.

BHN installed a second Pace 550 on Saturday with the same result, so at present I am only able to use component video.

Interesting.

I have: Pace 550HD, Panasonic TC-22LH1 (LCD w/HDMI), and Time Warner Cable.

I use a DVI -> HDMI cable to the Panasonic TV and there is no problem. HD signal looks great.

How is the Pace configured? Is it set to "Pass" or "Fixed"? If "Pass", try setting so that the output is "Fixed" and set to 1080i.

Glad to hear your TC-22LH2 is working. As I said, mine will only display HD channels if I set the Pace to 480p... Pass, 720p, and 1080i display nothing.

K4REE,

Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm working on getting a Pace 550 later this week and I found this thread.

It sounds to me like a HDCP encryption issue where any signal above 480P will not be displayed via DVI or HDMI unless both devices are HDCP compliant.

Unfortunately it is STILL unresolved at this point. I have talked extensively with Panasonic and PaceMicro. HDMI is supposed to be backward compatible with DVI, but it appears there is some problem (HDCP handshake/timing) with the PT-43LC14 in this regard. PaceMicro is close to having a new unit with a HDMI port, which I hope will provide me with a solution. However, this speaks very poorly for Panasonic with regard to this model.
