Hi, all. I'm getting ready to move overseas, and starting to pack up the house. I was feeling good about everything when I realized I have no idea how to pack up my subwoofer!! It's a Gallo - the round one, if that makes any difference. Like most subs, the speaker is pointing at the floor, unprotected by fingers that might poke, or other objects that the movers might end up placing against the sub. Sadly, the original packing material is long gone. Anyone have any suggestions for how to protect the sub during the move?

Easy option would be to sell your sub before you move and pick up a new one overseas.


However, if you want to take it and don't have the original packing, for something of odd shapes like a sphere you'd probably just have to wrap it very well with bubble wrap. Like 4-5 layers at least. Then have it packed inside a sturdy box. You'll still have some empty space in the corners of the box that you will need to pad or stuff with something to prevent it from shaking around.
